Tips

How tipping works

Every free agent, prompt, tool and bundle on the marketplace can carry a Tip button. Anyone who found a listing useful can send its publisher a few dollars by card or crypto, without leaving the page.

A tip is a thank-you: it never unlocks anything, and paid listings keep their normal purchase flow.

Where a $10 tip goes

By card
$8.41to the publisher
Swarms keeps 10% plus card processing (2.9% + 30¢). The rest is paid into the publisher's Stripe account.
By crypto
$9.00to the publisher
Swarms keeps 10%. The rest goes straight to the publisher's Solana wallet in the same transaction, in USDC or SOL.

For tippers

How to send a tip

1

Open a free listing and press Tip

The Tip button sits in the sidebar of free agents, prompts, tools and bundles whose publisher has set up to receive tips. You need to be signed in; if you aren't, pressing Tip asks you to sign in first.

2

Pick an amount and add a note

Choose $5, $10 or $20, or type any amount from $1 to $500, and add an optional note of up to 280 characters. Before you pay, the modal shows exactly how much reaches the publisher.

3

Pay by card, without leaving the page

With Card selected, the tip modal loads Stripe's checkout form inside the window. Pay there and you stay on the listing the whole time.

4

Or pay with USDC or SOL

With Crypto selected, connect a Solana wallet such as Phantom or Solflare and choose USDC or SOL. You sign one transaction that pays the publisher and Swarms together. USDC is the dollar amount exactly; SOL is converted at the live price. You pay the small Solana network fee. If the network is slow to confirm, a Finish tip button records the payment you already sent and never charges you twice.

5

That's it

The tip is on its way to the publisher. If they set up only card or only crypto, the modal shows just that option.

For publishers

Start receiving tips

1

Publish a free listing

Tips are for listings people can use for free. Launch an agent, prompt, tool or bundle as free. Paid listings sell through the normal purchase flow instead, so they never show a Tip button.

2

Press Get Tips on your listing

Until you can receive card tips, your own free listings show a Get Tips button in the sidebar that only you can see. It takes you to set up a Stripe Express seller account.

3

Finish Stripe onboarding for card tips

If you're new to Stripe, you first choose the country of your seller account on the Seller tab, because Stripe can't change it later. If you already started, Get Tips takes you straight back to Stripe. Once Stripe approves the account, the Tip button appears on your free listings and card tips pay into your Stripe balance.

4

Connect a wallet for crypto tips

To also accept USDC and SOL, connect your Solana wallet under Account → Billing. Crypto tips go straight to that wallet in the tipper's transaction; Swarms never holds them. You can offer card, crypto, or both.

Frequently asked questions

Who can send a tip?

Anyone signed in to swarms.world. If you press Tip while signed out, you are asked to sign in first.

Which listings take tips?

Free agents, prompts and tools, and bundles, as long as the publisher has set up card tips, crypto tips or both. Paid listings sell through the normal purchase flow and never show a Tip button.

Does a tip unlock anything?

No. A tip is a thank-you. It never grants access to a paid listing and never adds account credit.

How much can I tip?

Anything from $1 to $500 per tip, with an optional note of up to 280 characters.

How much does Swarms keep?

10% of every tip. On card tips the card processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) also comes out of the tip, so a $10 card tip pays the publisher $8.41 and a $10 crypto tip pays $9.00.

Which cryptocurrencies can I tip with?

USDC and SOL on Solana. USDC is the dollar amount exactly; SOL is converted at the live price when you pay. You also pay the small Solana network fee.

What if my crypto tip does not confirm?

If the network is slow, the modal keeps your payment and shows Finish tip. Pressing it records the payment you already sent; you are never charged twice.

Does Swarms see my card number?

No. The card form inside the tip modal is rendered by Stripe, and your card details go straight to Stripe.

When do publishers get paid?

Card tips are transferred to the publisher's Stripe account and paid out to their bank on Stripe's payout schedule. Crypto tips land in the publisher's wallet in the same transaction you sign.

Can I tip my own listing?

No. On your own free listings you see Get Tips instead, which sets you up to receive tips.

Every fee on the platform is listed on the pricing page.
